Th 2025 Russell County 4-H Camp at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center will be July 14-18!

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Russell County 4-H'ers attended 4-H Summer Camp on July 8th-12th! For the first time in Russell County 4-H history, we camped solo for the week! Over 210 Campers, 26 Teens, and 13 Adult Volunteers from Russell County participated in the week-long event! While at 4-H Camp, youth learned life skills during classes like swimming, cooking, riflery, fishing, archery, crafts, and much more! Russell County youth attend 4-H Camp annually at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Abingdon. Community support for the Russell County 4-H Camping Program is strong as over 50 youth received scholarship money to attend camp.
Special thanks to First Bank and Trust, Leonard Family Trust, Morgan McClure, United Southeast Federal Credit Union, E. Dillon, Russell County Farm Bureau, Lebanon Lions Club, New People's Bank, Mountain View Market, Butch Foster, Nancy Osborne, Larry Stinson, Advantage Power Solutions, Bart Long & Associates, and AEP. Also, special thanks to Fred and Carla Adkins for their continued support of the 4-H Program in establishing an Endowment Fund to provide camping scholarships to Russell County youth annually! Special thanks for Russell County Public Schools-Bus Garage for providing camp transportation for all Campers and Teens!
