2024 Russell County 4-H Camp Registration will open on Monday, March 25th at the Russell County Extension Office! Camp spots are limited, and spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

2024 Russell County 4-H Camp will be July 8th - 12th this year! For the first time in Russell County 4-H history, we will be camping alone for the week! We hope to have plenty of camper spots this year! This also means that we need all the adult volunteers for the week to make this week successful! We promise that it will be a lifechanging and rewarding week for you! Also, if you have kiddos coming to camp, and you serve as an adult volunteer we have perks for helping out with camper costs! 4-H Camp is open to youth ages 8 (turning 9 by September 30th, 2024) -13 years of age! The cost of camp will be $240. Financial aid and scholarships will be available if needed.

Are you looking for an ultimate thrill club that loves the great outdoors? 4-H Outdoor Adventure Club is exactly what you are looking for! We hope to offer all things outdoors with this 4-H Outdoor Adventure Club! We are thinking, kayaking, rafting, rock climbing, repelling, and other cool outdoor activities with this 4-H Club!

Russell County 4-H'ers attended 4-H Summer Camp on June 26th - 30th with campers from Tazewell County as well! Over 148 youth and adult volunteers from Russell County participated in the week-long event! While at 4-H Camp, youth learned life skills during classes like swimming, cooking, riflery, fishing, archery, crafts, and much more! Russell County youth attend 4-H Camp annually at Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Abingdon. Community support for Russell County 4-H Camping Program is strong as over 40 youth received scholarship money to attend the event.
