PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Russell County 4-H'ers attended 4-H Summer Camp on July 20-24th! While at 4-H Camp, youth learned life skills during classes like swimming, cooking, riflery, fishing, archery, crafts, and much more! Russell County youth attend 4-H Camp annually at the Southwest Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Abingdon. Community support for the Russell County 4-H Camping Program is strong!
Special thanks to Advantage Power Solutions, AEP, Butch Foster, First Bank & Trust, Larry Johnston, Lebanon Lion's Club, The Leonard Family, the Washington Co. Moose Lodge, and Russell County Farm Bureau. Also, special thanks to Fred and Carla Adkins for their continued support of the 4-H Program in establishing an Endowment Fund to provide camping scholarships to Russell County youth annually! Special thanks for Russell County Public Schools-Bus Garage for providing camp transportation for all Campers and Teens! Also, special thanks to the Russell County Maintenance Department for their effort in making sure we have a safe environment for drop off and pick up!
